Eight luxury five star lodges

At the Tranquil Otter, we have eight five-star luxury lodges, each named after a local bird, accommodating between 2 and 6 guests

Lodges

All our self-catering lodges are five-star (Visit Britain accredited), south-facing with large private decking within metres of the lake and giving unobstructed views over it. Each lodge is quite private and is in a natural setting from which you can enjoy the countryside, the lake and the company of your friends or family. The eco-friendly timber lodges have central heating and double-glazing so they’re cosy and energy-efficient.

One bedroom lodges are: Arctic Skua, Chiffchaff, Fieldfare and Gadwall.

Two bedroom lodges are: Buzzard, Dunnock and Egret.

The three bedroom lodge is Heron.

Each lodge includes:

an outdoor hot tub
a flat-bottomed rowing boat
timber decking with garden furniture and cushions
barbecue and picnic table
log burner with all that you need to enjoy a log fire
WiFi internet access
digital TV with freeview channels
DVD player
complimentary items – tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries, dishwasher tablets, kindling and firelighters
toiletries from Pure Lakes for you to try during your stay
an ironing board, iron, toaster, hairdryer and cleaning equipment in each lodge

In addition, Egret lodge (4 guests) and Heron lodge (6 guests) have:
