Early one morning just as the day was breaking …. I looked out of the bedroom window and normally I see ducks, geese or Mute Swans, however today I saw a sight that just had to be captured. Unfortunately my camera is not great for action shots, so with regret the picture is not such good quality, but it is still a sight to see.
And this is why we moved to the North West so that Nick could have a daily swim without trekking across South London to Tooting Bec Lido. He just has to go to the end of the garden and “Bob is your Uncle”, so it is said.I have to now give a Government Health Warning, please “don’t try this at home” or if you do it is “at your own peril". This is a direct quote from Nick as he came in after his swim this morning - "very weedy but not unpleasant, you feel yourself being stroked by weeds". Stroked by weeds, not a hobby that I have seen listed anywhere - yet. It could catch on. The children also enjoy the lake and recently they spent the whole Sunday, much to my delight, jumping from the boat into the lake. Naturally we are focusing on their swimming skills so that they can join Nick on his daily swim.
