If you fancy being a little more energetic you could row your private boat next to your cottage out to the middle of the lake to watch the wildlife from there. You may be lucky and spot the elusive otters; you will definitely see swans, ducks, perhaps a buzzard, heron, spotted woodpecker red squirrel or polecat or many others.
