Stunning lodge and stunning area

Stunning lodge and stunning area. Where to start… In just one week, we have managed to see and do so many things.

Hadrian’s Wall and a very brisk walk along it. (it was very windy and the clouds looked very heavy)

Keswick and the walks from there. A 9km circular walk to Walla Crag and then back along the shore of Derwentwater. Buttermere, a tiny village/hamlet but a beautiful walk around the lake and a couple of nice pubs.

Would highly recommend the 6 lakes drive. Fantastic scenery and chance to see the larger lakes and towns. Aira Force is also worth a stop. One last walk to the Jaws of Borrowdale and Castle Crag. Also stunning views from the Honister pass.

Ventured out (very briefly) on the Lough in the kayak! Watch out for the swans!

Finally, plenty of soothing aching muscles in the hot tub!

Will definitely be back.
