We left comments in the visitor book mainly for other guests - so I thought I'd just add for you and Nick how much we enjoyed the Tranquil Otter, and your friendly welcome. The lodge was luxurious beyond our expectations, and we had a great time with the hot tub and the boat especially. Freddie has for some time now been saying he wants to be a nature warden, and sitting on the lake really confirmed to him that's what he'd like to do. I did finally see an otter, at 6.15 one morning, lazily pottering across the lake - what a privilege.
And it was such fun to have our own little troupe of adolescent ducklings visit us every day, and so many beautiful bird species. I have a friend who's a keen bird-watcher, so I will be telling him about the Tranquil Otter.

"Dear Tazeem
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a wonderful weeks break in Lodge 6 at the Tranquil Otter. We have now arrived home and will return to the hectic life that we lead but we will have wonderful memories of our time spent at the Tranquil Otter. We will miss the ducks bullying us to feed them and the swans hissing at us for getting too close.

The lodge was gorgeous and you were so acommodating and helpful, ensuring that the stay was exactly what we had hoped for.

It was so refreshing to have a nature reserve on our doorstep, and such a serene environment that the bird came to visit us! (We even looked out one day and the woodpecker was at the tree just outside!)

The walk around the lake is lovely and rowing out into the middle is a must as well. Thanks again and we hope to see you again."
