Romantic Lake District

February is for Romance

February is, perhaps, the most romantic month with Valentine’s Day at its heart. Because Leap Day, the 29th of the February, is the day when traditionally, women can propose to their beau, or belle. You can pop the question anytime, of course, but romance loves ritual, and most men probably don’t know about the significance of the 29th of February. So it could come as a surprise to them for two reasons.
